Olympic Azimuth Drives are heavy duty, 360 degree steerable marine propulsion units designed for continuous operation in tough work boat applications. Combining marine propulsion and power steering mounted in one watertight housing, Olympic Drives replace conventional marine gears, propeller shafts, stuffing boxes, shaft struts, propellers and bearings, rudders, rudder stocks, hydraulic steering with one easily installed package.
Our steerable drives have a full power follow up, hydraulic steering system delivering propeller thrust throughout an endless 360 degree rotation. This provides the vessel with positive and powerful vessel control in all directions.
The Olympic Z-Drive is often used in shallow waters increasing the risk of having the propeller strike the bottom or other obstructions. To protect the internal gears, Olympic Drives utilizes a special shear pin equipped input coupling. 
Further, replacing the shear pins is done from inside the hull minimizing the down time or the need to haul the vessel.
The Olympic steerable drives are easily mounted, using our proprietary mounting ring & neoprene seal.
